All news media, including FB, do the nation a disservice by publishing comments from people who are making outlandish statements for the sole purpose of getting their names and faces in the news.

I all honesty, I asked my pastor (of my Torah Observant Christian congregation, and a wealth of knowledge of all things Hebrew) about that very thing yesterday.

He said that for Orthodox Jews, that is the tradition. It’s very likely that RBG wasn’t Orthodox, if she was technically a practicing Jew at all. Unless you’re Orthodox, that’s not practiced all that much nowadays.
