BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Two 13-year-old boys are under arrest for allegedly setting an 89-year-old woman on fire in Brooklyn.
The victim said the pair never spoke a word to her before slapping her in the face and setting her clothes ablaze on the night of July 14 in Bensonhurst.
The victim told Eyewitness News she had just left her home when the two approached her near 16th Avenue and 77th Street. She said one of them struck her in the face, and then moments later she felt a sharp pain on her back.
Once she realized what was happening, she quickly pulled up her hair so it wouldn't burn and then rubbed her back against a wall to put out the flames.
The fire left a large scorch mark up the back of her shirt.
The victim said she had never seen them before, and they did not try to steal anything from her.
The teens are charged with third-degree assault.

To give credit where credit is due, Candace Owens talks about it very strongly but for some baffling reason she has been left out of the Trump Administration.
I dont believe in juvenile sentencing for violent crimes and murder. Dont care what age or gender.
You wouldn’t believe how bad it is. There aren’t even uncles or cousins that are older that aren’t in prison or dealing drugs or doing something. I’ve been around the projects a lot. It’s the truth.

this is sickening. as a society, we better start calling out black kids for this shit because they are out of control.
Many years ago I worked at a state juvenile prison (called a ‘youth center’. Had two kids who murdered at 13. Due to the laws at the time, they could not be held after their 18th birthdays. The day they turned 18 they were released with spotless records.
If you remember the case in Arkansas where two 13-year-olds shot up their school, killing several. Same thing happened, when they reached adulthood, they were released. The state gave them new identities and clean records. I mention this because one ended up living within 10 miles of me. Applied for a concealed carry permit. But somehow, even though it wasn’t supposed to know, the local sheriff’s office did know who the kid was and what he had done and worked to deny the permit. All this came out when he died in a car wreck last year.
New York laws, of course will apply. But most states don’t send 13-year-olds away for life no matter what they did.
Teens. That signifies that they are black.
Turn them into young ladies.
A life sentence would be expensive unless it were a Short Life sentence that ends on the eighteenth birthday.
