Travis County officials are investigating multiple reports of ’boats in distress’ on Lake Travis during a Trump boat parade.

According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, they were first notified of the incidents around 12:15 p.m., Saturday.

There's a small subset of occasional, recreational boaters who neglect to install and check the drain plug before launching...

We regular fishermen see at launching ramps fairly often.

Running at speed self-bails the boat; going parade-slow with no plug is big trouble -- especially if you have no idea where the plug is...

This headline can be likened to the following:

"A large parade of thousands of cars resulted in several accidents..."

So what...Cars get into accidents, boats sink.

Here’s an idea for an invention.

A drain plug that is opened by manually pulling on a ring.

When the ring is released, the plug closes.

Like a pressure bleed on a compressor.

Are you good at machining?

If you come up with the product, remember me when the profits come rolling in.

“...As for Biden/Harris...nothing!!! No rallies, no supporters, no nothing!!! Go figure!!! Oh....I forgot...Sorry Democrat low life, I apologize, Biden and Harris are 100% basement dwellers and “underground” SATAN worshipers....”

They don’t need em. The got mail-in vote fraud on their side...along with Satan. That’s all they need.

Yes but I laugh at them. The idiots that they are. Looks like to many boats and some were swamped by the bigger boat wakes.

Yup. Those rich kids with $100k boats could care less about anyone but themselves. BTDT. I had a 22 foot sail boat and went up a river in FL to get to a lake. No Wake signs all along the river. It was a weekend and the 20 something year olds in dad's boat didn't give a damn. Every time one came by, I'd have to turn the sailboat sideways to handle the wake waves. Sail boat had a 10hp outboard.

I was boating on a lake and speed boats would fly by creating huge wakes!

So what’s the subtext here? That having boat parades for Trump is a safety hazard?

Nice. There was a six mile long Trump flotilla here on The Jersey Shore today. Six miles long! It took place on Barnegat Bay which is about twenty minutes southeast of where I live. And we’re supposed to be a ‘’blue state’’.

Well it appears 'weekends are for Trump', parades and rallies, there are many across the nation this week-end.....in Florida are several as well...

BTW...The Travis lake west of Austin is known for being difficult to navigate at times, and large wakes could be seen during Saturday’s boat parade it's reported.

Yeah I see what you mean by what wakes can do. The Illinois River is an example of what you’re talking about. For small craft on a narrow water way large boats can cause swells of at least three feet or maybe more that will swamp a small boat.

Yeah, that’d count as rough waters to a small boat.
