It does not depend on Trump, or Biden. It depends on the people.
The people demand policies to make them "safe". The evolving definition of "safe" is no one tests positive for SARS-CoV-2 RNA at any time in the future.
This is why teachers won't go back to work. This is why there won't be NCAA football, or if there is, it won't last more than a couple of weeks.
This is why Rochelle Walensky signed her name to a modeling paper in JAMA which stated that, in order for colleges to open "safely", students would need to be tested every other day for a whole semester with a test giving instant results with quarantine if positive.
The people have not accepted, and apparently will not accept, the proposition that the virus is going to do what it's going to do.
New Zealand just had a big celebration of 100 days virus free - and then these unexplained cases popped up.
I'm not sure that there IS a program or strategy that will "keep us safe", but, if there is, it's not what we are doing.
So, to answer your question, "Are quarantine camps in our future?" - Probably, unless the people adopt a different mindset and demand that their politicians follow along.
I have to tell you, this seems quite unlikely to me at this point.
It may not be tomorrow or it may be 10-or-more years down the road , but it gonna happen.
Whats happening in some of the cities now , I would have called you crazy 20-years ago if you had said all this anti-cop riots would be happening, not personal but agreeing .
