The Black Lives Matter (BLM) campaign group is calling for statues and monuments in the UK that celebrate slavery to be taken down. It comes after protesters pulled down a statue of slave trader Edward Colston in Bristol on Sunday (June 7) and a statue which had stood in London's Docklands for more than 200 years was taken down after a public campaign on Tuesday (June 9).

The London statue was of Robert Milligan, one of the richest merchants in the late 18th Century, was also a slave owner who oversaw the building of the West India Docks in East London.

At the time of his death, Milligan alone had more than 500 African slaves at his plantations.

BLM has now set up a website where users can add statues and monuments they believe....
