Flubros and Flubras! Day 42 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

How can this level of tyranny be justified for what is really just the flu? Even though this overblown Wuhan flu crisis isn’t over, just think of the next virus pandemic when some children might actually die. The media will clamor for another lockdown - politicians will react accordingly because they don’t want the blood of the children on their hands. They now have the blueprint for obtaining more socialism in the future.

This social distancing is not natural. Anything that involves widespread, sustained and significant deviations from natural human behavior will lead to terrible consequences. And whoever suggests this deviation is likely a leftist tyrant.

Newsom is an idiot and closing California beaches because of Wuhan flu is idiotic. Is it truly healthier to be stuck in your home all day or to be out in the sun? At least some steps toward freedom are happening in some Red states - let’s keep the progress coming there.

Who expected to become a fan of Elon Musk and Sweden before this started? A Flubro commented recently that he will never make fun of Sweden again.

To quote one of the most infamous economists in history, "When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do sir? "

Economists are such gays.

Facts never change. They are facts from the moment they are born. Our job is to find them. The first man to find the true facts is the one telling the truth.

The other man is still lost in the mist.

I believe that the fearbros have based their version of truth on a field of lies, put upon them by liars seeking an outcome. I believe that fearbros are the worst kind of suckers.

Don't be a Fearbro, bro.

You're being too dismissive. Allow us Flubros the respect of our intellect. Do you think we haven't thought this through?

Yes. I absolutely think that. I also don't think you (plural) have read as extensively on this topic as have I, or at least not the same material.

I have to be frank, much of the conduct I see on the part of many people arguing this topic leads me to believe that they have done nothing but jump to an uninformed conclusion based on the most flimsy of evidence, or indeed mere assertions.

Do you think we are engaging in a petty rhetorical game to win an argument on the internet?

Some are, probably not most. I think most are motivated by economic and political reasons, and go looking for cherry picked data to support their scientific claims. To be fair, this is the norm for most human discussions. Most of us generally seize on our position, and then look for evidence to support it, and reject any that doesn't. This behavior is just part of the human condition.

This is no game, sir. There are real life consequences. This is a power struggle between two opposing factions for the future of this country and the world. The outcome of which will determine how our grandchildren will live.

Or whether or not they will live. I am aware of the political power struggle, and I just don't believe the disease is fake and a cover story for the larger political struggle. I think it is a real disease that has been shown to be quite dangerous to some people, and politically motivated groups have tried to seize this naturally occurring disaster for whatever advantage they can find.

Evidence is emerging that it is less dangerous than it first appeared. Alternatively I have seen it asserted that the bug is evolving to be less lethal, as most viruses do over time. I read earlier to day that there are 287 identified strains of this bug, and with varying degrees of infectiousness and lethality.

I've seen it asserted that perhaps the West coast is suffering less damage as a consequence of a weaker version of this thing becoming dominant, which is again, something that would happen naturally with viruses over time.

I simply refuse to discount the fact that something is chewing through the people in New York city. I refuse to accept that it's all a big hoax put on by our political enemies. I want to hear explanations for the observable data that make sense, and don't sound silly to my ears.

You dither and play semantical word games, as you seek to appear wise.

I am pointing out that people do not agree on the meaning of words. An exaggeration can be characterized as either a "lie", or "not a lie" depending on who wants to believe what. I am pointing out that people are subjective in nature and mistakenly believe everyone else sees things from their same perspective.

I wouldn't characterize my point as "playing word games." I am pointing out that "playing word games" is the norm for a huge component of our population.

Its time for you to make a decision and advocate for it.

What decision? Go to public places and inhale deeply? Join a protest group to protest the closing of businesses or some other aspect of this thing?

They are opening things up in my state already. We didn't get hit hard anyways. I do my work, pay my taxes, and try to increase the prosperity and happiness of my family.

I hope this thing doesn't resurge, but I don't have much control over it anyways.

But on the battlefield of ideas, the Flubro and the Fearbro are mortal enemies. The opposing ideologies cannot coexist in peace.

That is silly. Either one side, or both sides are in error. It's like the fog of war. You don't know what happened until long after it's over. We will all eventually know what happened.

This too shall pass.

Okay, time to wrap this up.

I know what is happening with a certainty. I am a man of action, not a man looking to appear wise.

Somebody just posted and I must attend. I will leave you with this, to change the subject (but not really, its all connected).

The top document was written by Obama in his own hand. The bottom one was just DECLAS released regarding the Flynn matter.

What does it tell you?

The first thing I heard about the rona was that it was mostly old people with underlying conditions that were dying. Just like any other flu bug. My common sense kicked in at that point.

It sounds like you became aware of this thing quite a bit later than did I. We couldn't get this sort of information out of China. All the accounts I was reading claimed it was infecting everyone, and they were welding people up in their apartment buildings. I watched video of people in China being forced to stand in the windows of their apartment buildings while a drone flew by and took video of them.

I read about the Chinese military blocking all the entrances to Hong Kong except for one, and only government vehicles was allowed to use that one. I saw video of big trucks in China driving down the streets five abreast spraying disinfectant on the streets! I read accounts from people in China talking about the deaths, and what people were doing to avoid the disease.

Were you watching this thing before it came here to the United States? I was. I was keeping up with it probably a month before we started seeing cases here.

We simply didn't have that information until much later.

If you recognize and accept the fact the derps are 'using this' how can you reject the notion that they manufactured it.

Too big. Too much of it works against their interests. China has taken a body blow. Repercussions are still occurring and all the bad guys of the world are the ones getting most hurt by what happened.

New York is getting decimated. In all the nation, there is no worse opponent of the conservative movement than New York city. It is the heart of the Liberal beast. It is the purveyor of false propaganda against us and against our President.

Meanwhile, most of the "Red" states are barely affected.

Who's getting hurt by this thing? Mostly our political enemies.

The two go hand in hand. Or do you think the derps just got lucky in time for an election?

Yes, that's pretty much what I think. I will still keep the idea in the back of my mind that this thing might have been manufactured, but I am not ready to accept it as reality without more evidence.

I have no doubt that Obama is up to his eyeballs in the corrupt deep state and their attempts to frame Michael Flynn, but I don't think a handwriting comparison is particularly good evidence that Obama wrote it.

I believe I have read that it was written by Priestap or some such FBI agent.

I have been saying for years, that if they pull on the slightest thread, they would find Obama at the center of the web. He's from Chicago. Yeah, he's corrupt. It's built in to politicians from Chicago.

It is the best possible evidence that he wrote it, other than him admitting it.

I believe you have read that too because so have I. What I can't believe, is that you believe it. You will believe whatever you are told to believe, despite your lying eyes, in the best of Fearbro tradition.

No. Obama wrote both documents. I have a brain and I have eyes. And I have taken the red pill.

It is, it is.

Quite an obvious one too, though people are still saying Priestap wrote it.

I prefer to believe my lying eyes.

It’s interesting that the signed note is clearly cursive, while the annotations are printed in mixed case with a few words in cursive—mostly the circled ones. The red lasso is awkwardly drawn as it obscures the lower ‘we.’ Possibly the annotations were written in a style to try and mask Obama’s normal hand-writing style.

What may also yield dividends is something like a speech or a press release (or several) that we know Obama has marked up to compare against the annotations in the Flynn documents. That might reveal more similarities.

How punctuation is used is also important. Check out the position and stroke of the periods and commas relative to the letters they appear after. They look similar to me.

Looks like a felt tip or or ball point pen with a good, even flow of ink was used in the personal note. A cheap pen or perhaps a pencil may have been used in the referenced annotations.

I’d also like to see other verified note-taking samples of E. W. Priestap’s handwriting to compare with as well. While I do see similarities between the two documents, I’d need to see more of their writing to be sure.

I believe you have read that too because so have I. What I can't believe, is that you believe it.

Remember when I said "words mean different things to different people?" Well here is another example of that. You use the word "believe." That is incorrect. I don't believe that so much as I accept that it is a possibility, but not necessarily the truth.

I am in "wait and see" mode, rather than in "embrace" mode. That's one of the things I most fault with you guys. You're so d@mn certain. Certainty is often the enemy.

No. Obama wrote both documents. I have a brain and I have eyes.

And you have a willigness to jump to a conclusion you like based on very flimsy evidence. I am reminded of the "carpet fiber" evidence the FBI likes to use.

Well guess what? In case after case they discovered it's just plain garbage as evidence. Carpet fibers aren't sufficiently unique to qualify as proof.

So you think handwriting is good evidence? First of all, that sample is too small. You need quite a bit of writing to make a comparison that has a high probability of being accurate.

Even so, it's not that unusual to find people who have similar writing styles.

My eldest son's writing is virtually indistinguishable from my own. It looks like my writing.

Without a lot of material from which to make comparisons, handwriting evidence is crap.

Yes, the oddities are the result of Obama trying to pretend someone else is writing it. That makes a lot more sense than the possibility that someone else actually wrote it.

Let's drag out some more Priestap writing. It ought to be pretty easy to tell if Priestap writes like that or not.

This is reasonable. Alleging it is Obama's on this tiny bit of similarity is not.

As I said, I have no doubt Obama was involved in this corruption up to his eyeballs, but I very much doubt he wrote that. He had plenty of lackeys that would do it for him.

Okay, doctor semantical.

I am in "wait and see" mode, rather than in "embrace" mode. That's one of the things I most fault with you guys. You're so d@mn certain. Certainty is often the enemy.

What I most fault with your guys, is your failure to use your own brain and to rely on 'experts' to tell you the truth of what is right in front of you. It comes from a lifetime of conditioning, which is hard to throw off.

Once you come to understand that truism, the shackle removal is almost instantaneous. I know this to be a fact from personal experience and my decisive nature.

And you have a willigness to jump to a conclusion you like based on very flimsy evidence. I am reminded of the "carpet fiber" evidence the FBI likes to use.

Carpet fibers are your strawman. Carpet fibers are not handwriting. This argument is deemed irrelevant.

So you think handwriting is good evidence?

I absolutely do. Within the realm of identifying who wrote something. Outside of that, you're right. It's total crap.

First of all, that sample is too small. You need quite a bit of writing to make a comparison that has a high probability of being accurate.

Disagree, inspector.

Even so, it's not that unusual to find people who have similar writing styles.

Some might say its unusual and outside the realm of coincidence that two people in a four man meeting would have almost identical handwriting. People like me, for example. You're stretching the limits of credulity to win an argument, you self confessed contrarian.

And still losing.

My eldest son's writing is virtually indistinguishable from my own. It looks like my writing.

He copied his daddy. This is common. Obama is not Priestap's daddy. That we know of.

Without a lot of material from which to make comparisons, handwriting evidence is crap.

Define 'a lot of material', detective.

Are you one of those guys that knows everything about everything?

Both samples were written by the same hand.

Science.
