Things are LOOKING UP!!

Yes, things have taken a significant turn for the better! I snapped this yesterday at 5 PM in the Los Altos, California Safeway (San Francisco Bay Area). There was no crowd lunging for it. No wild-eyed berserkers trying to steal it away from you or take it from your basket. No knocking over little old ladies to grab it. Nope, it was just sitting there, unloved and lonely, just begging for somebody to take it home.

It was probably used. Did you do the smell test?

It was already squeezed!!!!!!!!

Here in TX at HEB stores, they have a list of things they will not accept returns on!! TP, Paper Towels, and other things folks raided. THANK GOD they did this as I can imagine paper goods that have been in a smoke filled home for weeks-yuck!!

I noticed that in the last 3 days there are a few occasions where is NO LINE to enter the store!

Went to the Costco in East Clark County WA today. There was only one pkg. of steaks in the whole meat cooler.

We bought some commercial paper towels. They are the folder kind like you pull down in a bathroom dispenser.

We got a huge pack of them, and of course I scored regular paper towels the day before the commercial ones came in.

About six weeks ago, I got so frustrated with paper towels that I bought the flat-pack folded towels that used to be common in gas station restrooms. Not quite as nice as rolled towels, but they do the job. I ordered them at Home Depot and they were in shortly after ordering. I bought way too many so I'm all set for a LONG time!

Paper towels here in the Bay Area are easing up a bit. There were maybe 15 or 20 large packs of Bounty paper towels at Safeway yesterday afternoon. About a week ago, a clerk at CVS asked if he could help me find something. I said "paper towels" and he replied "Hold on a minute." In short order he brought me a Bounty package of 12 rolls! The truck had just arrived and they were unloading it. So, between my gazillion flat-fold paper towels and my accidental Bounty score, I'm all set.

"Apparently, you didn’t see the “used” sticker on it."

It would be even worse if it had been used on both sides already.

(I wonder if Mr. Whipple already got his germy, squashing mitts on it there?)

That was the case yesterday — no line to get in and no waiting in line for checkout! It was great.

I’ve noticed it sometimes pays to drive to a different store if you find a long line. I’ve seen HUGE lines at Trader Joes (looked like 30 to 45 mins), but no lines a mile away at a different store.

LOL...we did the same thing. Look at #29. I have so many of those flat folded towels that I’m ready for the next five pandemics!

I saw the same thing yesterday at our local market. There were several packages of TP. It was a shocking revelation. Perhaps the hoarders finally have a three year supply.

“Perhaps the hoarders finally have a three year supply.”

We all knew that would happen some day. Maybe we are at that point. Probably every little nook & cranny is filled with TP.

Now the meat-hoarders can start in earnest.

What is the difference between a hoarder and a prepper?

No, it’s getting worse. Our fascist overlords aren’t finished. Gov Lee of TN, Hitler wannabe, just extended the closing of hair salons to May 29.

F HIM!

We started a revolution over less.

I’d say panic buying triggered by news media and seeing crowds gather opposed to careful, well-thought-out preparation way before the panic buying starts.

Six counties here in the San Fran Bay Area all extended to JUNE ONE yesterday. Unbelievable.
