“With the crashing and burning of the Oxford study, I am completely convinced the “Maginot Line” of the flu bros have been breached....”

The Flu Bros are well beyond being breached.

They will die on a ventilator before excepting this is more then a flu. Their last breath would be “This is just a Flu Bro”.

That’s one of the sayings people think is in the Bible, but it’s not.

Actually, he sometimes has to give you more than you can handle so that you’ll give up and turn to him at last for help.

29K is current British case count.

They have undertested—mostly testing folks who are able to get into the National Health System hospitals.

That is why the death rate to testing rate is so crazy high.

The monumental failure of their socialized health care system is going to be fully exposed.

On the plus side, they are adding thousands of new hospital beds (article yesterday) to handle the inflow.

However, they will have a shortage of doctors, nurses and other health care staff...even if they obtain all the equipment and supplies they need.

“Had one of my tin foil hat friends say last night that this virus is to lock down everyone because they know the Yellowstone Caldera is going to blow and cause massive worldwide death and prolonged Ice Age. “

How close is the quake to Yellowstone? I was joking about that last night.

Wimbleton:

It is with great regret that the AELTC has today decided that The Championships 2020 will be cancelled due to public health concerns linked to the coronavirus epidemic.

The 134th Championships will instead be staged from 28 June to 11 July 2021.

If the UK is canceling Wimbleton for a _year_, it does not look good for the national conventions in the US....

2020 could get even more bizarre....

Tp usage and tp needs are two different things. Every extra square that is used is that much closer to having one of the family venture out to the CV infected store and possible death. Seriously, 4 squares are all that is needed for #1. In fact, to save tp, cut up an old sheet or outgrown clothes into an adequate size for #1 and launder when soiled. Much the same as cloth diapers being laundered.

Looks like the quake was North of Boise, ID. I would think it’s about 2 hours from Jackson, WY which I think means 3 hours from the center of Yellowstone. Not quite sure though. Born outside of Boise, Been to Jackson while living in Utah but now live in the South. If that thing were to blow I’d much rather be close to it to die quickly than where I’m at now. Would devastate the world from what the scientists say.

Some of my friends weird tendencies make me think but most of them I laugh off. This one got me thinking.

Well...

A few months ago a stray Black Lab adopted us. No collar, no chip. Putting up posters @ local groceries and a farm supply store returned no calls. Humane shelter is full (it always is.) Dog seems to be a good boy, but clearly had no training. I’ve done just a little - not enough, really, but I just don’t have the time or $$. Would have been much easier if we’d started out with a puppy. But “Lucky” (long story regarding the name) is better than he was about not jumping up on us or chasing the chickens (still don’t trust him on that!), knows to sit still for being chained or unchained, will (usually) sit on command, and is generally very lovable and affectionate, if he’s not too affectionate and slobbering or nuzzling one of us! He barks at anything he sees, hears, or smells that seems out of place, but he’s getting better about accepting new people. Except...

A few days ago FedEx delivered 2 boxes to us, from WalMart. I’ve been having trouble with WalMart’s order tracking, and was not expecting the delivery for a couple more days. I heard a single bark, looked out the window, saw a FedEx delivery van parked, and thought I should go out there. I do so and see the sequence: Box on ground. My car. Another box on ground. Dog. FedEx truck. No driver to be seen. My daughter had forgotten to put “Lucky” back on his chain.

Lucky seemed more curious than agitated. Eventually a VERY cute young female delivery person cautiously emerged from side of truck. Lucky had apparently materialized out of nowhere, barked, and scared the cr**, as she put, it out of the young lady. A little petting (of the dog!!!), a treat from inside the truck, and everybody is friends. Packages went into sunny spot to disinfect; I went inside and washed hands. Driver was evidently “new on the job”, so she had not had much if any experience with such situations.

Some dogs are not friendly - I’m surprised FedEx doesn’t equip their drivers with Mace on their belt.

I also hope those drivers have and use big bottles of sanitizer. Should have asked.

They need to start giving trumps drug as soon as test positive and not wait until you have to be hospitalized with breating problems

Exactly. I don't know why they're not doing this. It would certainly solve the overwhelmed hospital situation, and therefore less PPE, ventilators, etc., needed.

Funny. That’s what I told my wife. She laughed it off but then ironically we watched an episode of “Extreme Cheapskates” and there was a family that uses old towels for both #1 and #2. We have 2 large cases of TP left from my prepping in January but if this thing goes on for a longer period than we/I first thought I will be the one to head out to the store for needed essentials. I told my wife the towel remedy would be the first thing we do. No need to travel out for TP and risk infecting my family.

I did head out to our local butcher the other day. Mask, Gloves and Goggles on. Got some steaks for my wifes birthday. It was nice to grill some tasty rib eyes instead of backstraps for a change. I was pleased they didn’t allow anyone inside the store. Stand outside, phone in your order, they prep, package and cash you out all without human interaction. Only the plastic bag is left outside on a table for me to retrieve after paying. Impressed with their level of awareness. I wonder if they follow this forum.

Apologize for the caps:

COUNTY IN CENTRAL CHINA’S HENAN PROVINCE IN PARTIAL LOCKDOWN AFTER RECENT CORONAVIRUS CASES - COUNTY’S SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT

https://twitter.com/Rover829/status/1245371311125217280

China’s “recovery” is one big joke.

The virus will shred any community that “opens for business”.

Then there is a worldwide demand shock for most of their goods—no-one wants most of them...

Total FluBro and politboro myth.

Back when my kids were little and we were scrimping on money, we did the cloth diapers. Rinsed them, threw them in a bucket of bleach water. Every few days, washed in the laundry, so I don’t see that as being that much different.

Our local online news reported 96 cases yesterday, out of less than 400 tested. My heart jumped too. Then I looked at the breakdown and was out should have read 9 cases. Looked this morning and it still hasn’t been corrected.
