If Schumer had any sense, he'd spend the rest of the weekend negotiating with McConnell on how to end this farce quickly while he still has a party

“If Schumer had any sense, he’d spend the rest of the weekend negotiating with McConnell on how to end this farce quickly while he still has a party”

Jim,

I really think that train left the station a long time ago ...

besides, i don’t see what there is to negotiate ... Trump’s defense finishes up, they then vote on whether to admit additional evidence and/or witnesses, and if the GOP Senate has a lick of sense, they’ll vote no, and then the vote on guilty/not guilty would be held ...

Schumer doesn’t even have the option of withdrawing the charges ...

“he lets the case be dismissed and the impeachment tossed out on the grounds of not only no crime”

my understanding is that President Trump wants a not-guilty verdict, NOT a dismissal per se ... and i don’t really blame him ... there’s a BIG difference between not-guilty and dismissal in terms of political value ...

This is the same Chuck Schumer who chased one of his dining guests from the table of a very exclusive restaurant to the sidewalk all the while in a pique of anti Trump rage. I wonder if the blood boiling prevents them from thinking straight about Trump - Schumer has known president Trump a long time. Not only does it befuddle the Schumers of the world with jealousy, it’s scares the hell out of them because they know he is the genuine article and a good family man with a kind heart the mind of a magician and Constitution of steel who relishes the fight and never quits

Sorry Jim but what the dems are doing is part of their plan, they’re all in on it. They will blame the Republicans for aiding Trump in his abuse of power and the coverup.

Close to 50% of the people only watch fake news. They do not search out the truth. This will have no effect. If the russia hoax and abuse of the FISA and FBI did not change things this will not.

There’s no way this is going to end without the use of force.

The guestion is: Force directed against who? How swiftly? How efficiently?

I hope that shortly after election day, indictments drop and federal marshals come for the entire RAT leadership.

All except Romney and his ilk.
The deep state has six way to screw folks and Romney is a twitchy bass turd.

“Cut your losses before it’s too late, Senator. Don’t go down with the sinking ship.”

Agreed. But you know today’s lunatic Dem party has that ‘burn it all down and then think it over’ mentality.

If Schumer had any sense

Bad supposition, Jim. He has as much sense as his cousin Amy and her comic shtick.

Let the Democrap party go down, and take that condescending, smug, a-hole Schumer with them! He’s nothing but an arrogant windbag, who’s so impressed with himself, he doesn’t see it coming.

I remember Schmuck as a newby NY Representative barking his one-note anti-2nd Amendment revival tent. Now he's expanded to two notes - Pelosi's punk in the Senate - and still plying his oily schmooze against the Constitution. He, Schiff and Nadler are proof that Satan's minions are real and working at the highest levels of our government.

Like the Islamists in the House they will never disclose that their allegiance is to a power other than our Constitution. Most disturbing is that they behave as if they'll get away with their schemes without any negative repercussions.

I'm with the President wanting a trial with witnesses and himself laying the smack-down on their roody-poo candy asses. If Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney and others get raked out with the rest of the mess so much the better for our nation.

And thanks, Jim, to you for this wonderful forum. When I see pundits and TV personalities stealing from it, a lot, I know you have helped slow the entropy.

This POS has NEVER held a job outside of the government teet. Starting at Age 26. NYS Assembly —> NYS Senate —> US Congress —> US Senate.

Let's not forget who was the protege that Schumer was mentoring to follow in his footsteps:

Anthony Weiner.

How's that for having any sense?
