MEAT LOAF Says There Is No Climate Change, Calls GRETA THUNBERG 'Brainwashed'
Blabbermouth ^ | January 2, 2019 | N/A

Legendary singer Meat Loaf has accused teenage climate-change activist Greta Thunberg of being "brainwashed," saying he believes there is no such thing as climate change.

"I feel for that Greta," he told U.K.'s Daily Mail. "She has been brainwashed into thinking that there is climate change and there isn't.

"She hasn't done anything wrong but she's been forced into thinking that what she is saying is true."

The rocker, who campaigned with Mitt Romney in 2012 and worked with Donald Trump on "The Apprentice" back in 2010, previously claimed that he lost a few gigs thanks to politics.

"I've been banned from two TV shows," he told Esquire in a 2012 interview. "Because USA Today has me listed as a Republican.

"I've heard those stories," he added "But I didn't really believe they'd do that."

The musician also said his political views were complicated. "I'm neither right nor left, and I'm not sure I'm even in the middle," he said. "I have a lot of views to the left, and I have a lot of views to the right, and that really doesn't put me in the middle. I don't know what that makes me. It makes me weird."

Thunberg has gained international media attention in recent months for her outspoken activism on climate change, including delivering an impassioned speech to the United Nations Climate Action Summit calling out world leaders for not responding to the climate crisis with more urgency.

President Trump, who has repeatedly voiced skepticism about climate change, shared video of Thunberg's speech on Twitter, and above it wrote, sarcastically, that "she seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

Goosebumps. Yeh. The nice thing about where I live is that I can turn that up until the speakers bleed.

The RIAA link is a keeper. It really opens one's eyes to just which artists and albums are/were big in America.

For example, The Who is my favorite band and arguably one of the greatest bands ever...but their album sales in America at 21MM are (relatively) pitiful. Hendrix is also "bad" at 21MM.

The top selling artist (millions of album-equivalent units sold) are:

The Beatles (183)
Garth Brooks (148)
Elvis (139)
The Eagles (120)
Led Zeppelin (111.5)
Billy Joel (84.5)
Michael Jackson (84)
Elton (78.5)
Pink Floyd (84)
George Strait (69)

It is from great anti-55mph movie from the 1970s, the Gumball Rally. That was the late Raul Julia as Marco, the Italian race car driver.

This clip, from the start of the illegal cross-country race, has some of the best car and engine sounds EVER...my fav is the Ferrari. And yes...there is a motorcycle.

Whoops...too much posting...

When I was lurking I remembered that post and bookmarked it when I decloaked. In short, the poster allegedly was a crazy half of a baking duo that even Gordon Ramsay couldn't handle on TV.

It was the greatest Opus in my mind, but I'm a relative noob...to that end, I copied a long-time poster who said it was the best thread ever.

It’s a classic, and to this day I find myself quoting out loud from that film, even if nobody knows about what I’m talking. A few times, when someone has said “why me?” I mutter “’cause you’re an a&@*le Rosco, that’s why.”

“When I listen to Meatloaf, everybody listens to Meatloaf.”

When Bat Out Of Hell:Back Into Hell came out the local rock station had a temp working the overnight shift.
The station had been promising a “sneak peek” of the new album.
The overnight temp played the entire Bat Out Of Hell album without an ad break then put on the BIH album and played the entire thing without a break.
We loved it.
Needless to say she got canned. :(

You also have to find “Roadie” in which Meat Loaf plays a man who falls for a fangirl who is on her way to see Alice Cooper in concert.
