Like the post just below - I think men have it worse legally when the marriage is officially over. But in the “everything mine is yours” phase, both partners have the potential to lose big.
Understandable - but the lion’s share of concern seems to be the other way. I know a woman screwed by a guy like that - and she’d been warned by several people not to marry him.
That’s not the way the phase really is.
What it is most of the time is, what she earns is hers, and what you earn is ours. That’s what it turns out to be most of the time.
