Some Things I Learned Watching Live PD.

Some Things I Learned Watching Live PD:

Make sure the lights on the rear of your vehicle are working at all times.

Wearing your seatbelt saves you from a traffic stop. Which can lead to further complications.

Can’t out run from the cops on foot or in a vehicle unless you have a motorcycle.

If you have to hold your pants up when you’re walking there’s no way you can outrun the cops on foot.

Running from the cops because you have a traffic warrant will only cost you more money and time, probably in jail.

Make sure your baby mamas don’t know about each other.

In spite of what your friends told you making a license plate with an inkjet printer doesn’t work in Missouri.

Everybody in Rhode Island is drunk and belligerent.

Most people in Texas are drunk and belligerent.

Many people in Montana are drunk and belligerent.

Don’t violate a restraining order.

If you pick up a hooker make sure you get your story straight before you get stopped.

Don’t frequent known drug areas.

Driving with an open alcoholic container in your car and having your kid hold it for you between sips will get you arrested.

Don’t spill bits of weed on your lap while you’re driving.

This isn’t my pants, shirt, jacket, or hat never works.

Don’t drive like a jerk.

Properly use your turn signals.

Cops win fights because they bring more people.

If a cop looks like he’s over 35 they have heard every story there is to hear. It’s all repetition to them.

Lieut. Danny Brown can smell marijuana from 300 feet even if you’re driving by in your car with the windows rolled up.

If you pick a fight with Deputy Garrow Brown you’re a confirmed idiot.

In Arizona driving more than 85 miles per hour will get you arrested.

In Nevada(my home state) getting drunk and belligerent in a casino will get you a trip to jail.

When you throw your alcoholic container out the window make sure you don’t hit the cop that is walking up to your vehicle with it.

Don’t be belligerent with the cop unless you need a place to sleep for the night.

When the actual sheriff from your county stops you it’s best not to call him names and insult his mother.

Can’t beat the dog’s nose, they will find the drugs.

If you have 18 illegals in the bed of your pickup truck don’t speed on the freeway.

Getting caught with your clothes off with an underage girl or boy will get you arrested.

Asking the cop “Do you know who I am?” never works the way you think it will.

If you hear a helicopter while you’re running from the cops just surrender.

Cops are mostly decent people. They will do their job and if you show them respect they may cut you a break. Face it you’re caught.

Shoplifting in today’s world will get your trip to the jail and a record - unless you are in California.

So, I guess it’s OK if his wife hits me in an unregistered car. That means uninsured in my state.

In MA people get towed for that no matter who it is. You might not get a summons, but you won’t be driving it.

I did notice rule #1 was missing: “Nothing good ever happens on MLK Boulevard.”

You can register ANY car (no matter what the vehicle is worth) for $20 + $1 mail in fee.

Geez...........
CA, I just registered my 2007 Chevy truck that has 251,000 on it for $307.
My buddy has a brand new Chevy 2500. He pays $900 to register that bad boy. CA prices are INSANE!!!

You never saw the camera crew—usually two cameras and a producer filling these guys. Body cam stuff is unwatchable for more than a few seconds.

>>> 5 min later he hands back my insurance, license and registration, and said, “I’m letting you off with a warning

And at the same time there are Texas DPS troopers pulling people over on HWY 35 in Brazoria County and writing tickets for doing 5 mph over on a 4 lane, 60 mph speed limit highway with zero cross traffic for miles. Luckily I drive the exact speed limit and set it on cruise control all the time-but it is a constant occurrence on that road.

When I was riding a motorcycle I never was pulled over and always was 15-25 over the speed limit. I did get a few blinking warnings when splitting lanes.

Unless you are drunk you shouldn’t ever get a ticket on a motorcycle.

What I’ve learned is that EVERY VEHICLE ON THE ROAD apparently has marijuana (or worse) in it.

Here in my city, you can be doing 65 in a 55 and have cop fly past you doing 70.

There are good cops-and bad cops. There are good departments and bad departments. The city of Chicago has paid out nearly $1 Billion in police misconduct lawsuits in the last 15 years because their department is full of bad cops. NYPD paid out almost $250 million just last year alone. The Knapp Commission was formed because of police corruption within NYPD. It was full of meat eaters and grass eaters. Still is and many small town PDs and county sheriffs are still corrupt as hell. Just look up Sheriff Hodge of Whitley County KY, Sheriff Cravens of TN or Oddie Shoupe. All a drop in the bucket.

"How can you go on with life? I’m just in awe.

Believe it. I've seen a LOT of skin-headed, gargoyles inside wearing, bloused tac pant ninja, badge heavy 'roided thugs. The one with 150 rounds of 9mm to feed his Glock.

I treat them like I treat EVERY crazed, infected attack dog.

You don't make eye contact, because they will shoot you and walk.
You don't talk to them in anything more than monosyllables, and absolute truth, because they will shoot you and walk.
You obey without question, instantly, because they will shoot you and walk.
They work for the Party, not you. And they will shoot you and walk.
They do not honor the Constitution. They will shoot you and walk.
They are high school drop outs, with Absolute Power. They are not paid to wrestle with you. They will shoot you and walk.
They CAN be bought, but it's expensive.

I USED to live in Calif-—for over 40 years...

The registration costs are beyond stupid. I bought a 1976 Chevy pickup truck in 1986. California wanted to charge me a COMMERCIAL rate for the truck because it didn’t have a camper shell on it and “I could use it for commercial purposes with the open bed”.

I tried to tell them that I only used the truck to haul my OWN horses-—nothing commercial. They wouldn’t budge. I went out I got a camper shell right away. Registration was STILL too high.

I still have the truck-—it now has over 348,000 on the chassis, and I also still have the camper shell. It costs me only around $70 to register it in N Nevada.

1979 Buick I bought in 1981 costs me $51 to register (it has over 216,000 miles) & 2001 4 horse trailer costs me $39.

There are a million reasons to leave California ASAP.

I’ve learned that there must be a playbook for the bad guys:

I only had two drinks . . .

That’s not my bag . . .

That’s not my gun (probably true, because it’s probably stolen) . . .

Every driver drives without their license, registration and proof of insurance . . .

The definition of “Riding dirty” . . .

Garrow Brown and Danny Brown have the patience of Job . . .

I’m wondering what an episode of Live PD would be like, if just once, Garrow Brown went all “Walker, Texas Ranger” on one of the guys mouthing off to him.

Most of all, I’ve learned to:

1: Do a walk around of my vehicle every time I drive, being sure to check every single light

2. Always wear my seatbelt

3. Don’t have an AR15 or AK47 in the backseat with multiple 30 round magazines

4. Don’t reach for anything during a traffic stop

5. Hearing “good boy” will likely get you bit and get all your dope exposed (so don’t run and don’t carry dope)

Most importantly, be nice to law enforcement - they have to put up with way to much B.S.

One of the BEST shows on TV!

Having spun off 5 or 6 similar shows, most of which are also very good. PD Cam, Live Rescue, Live PD Wanted, Live PD Rewind, Live PD Police Patrol, Live PD Presents: Women on Patrol (Lifetime) (not renewed AFAIK)

https://www.aetv.com/shows/live-pd
Nov 16, 2019 · As the debate over the policing of America continues to be a part of the conversation across the nation, Live PD viewers get unfettered and unfiltered live access inside a variety of the country’s busiest police forces, both urban and rural, and the communities they patrol on a typical night.

Direct TV channel #265 A&E Network

A ***REAL*** “reality show”.

Get out of your “bubble” and get out into the REAL world without leaving home.

A REAL education.
