I think it is perfectly legitimate for the Admiral commanding the SEALs to remove a sailor from the teams if he doesn't have confidence in his judgment. Whether there was a Presidential order restoring his rank or not.

However, if it is true that the Admiral "made very disparaging comments about the president" in a staff meeting, that is a major problem for which he should be relieved of command.

I notice that so many admirals and generals suck up to liberal democrats. I guess that is why they got the star. I went to high school with a guy who graduated from the Naval Academy and was a Top Gun fighter pilot. He was a real warrior. He retired from the Navy with the rank of captain. I asked him why he did not make admiral. He said “Because I did not want to kiss ass!”
