BS. I had 5 stents put in after a heart attack 13 years ago. I feel very good, quite active and no chest pains.

Same here. I had one put in 6 years ago. I was lucky. Had a 100% blockage of one artery.
I also had 5 stents installed, no heart attack but 3 of 4 arteries 40-50% occluded, in July 2018, after 23 days of acute-severe Pancreatitis, which decimated me 134lbs and too weak for a bypass.

Stents are an emergency procedure. If a stent is put in you damn well need it. It may save your life. It is that simple.
