Cows missing for two months were located on North Carolinas Outer Banks after mini tsunami carried wildlife away...
They were presumed dead, but Cape Lookout National Seashore staff spotted one of the cows on another barrier island a month after the storm. That sighting was followed by two more, apparently grazing peaceably. A picture of the rangy-looking trio is now on Facebook.
Cows are recognized as adept swimmers comfortable with covering a few hundred yards. But swimming miles of open water in a hurricane is outside their general range of expertise.

If these moo cows would give the drowning polar bears swimming lessons, we could forget about all this global warming crapola.
I would argue that they didn't have much choice.

A lot of those barrier islands have ponies on them. I don’t think anyone knows how they got there. Maybe they swam.

There was contoversey in the last two events.
Several Steers had entered the races identifying as Cows.
Two of these Steers placed first & second 2 years ago.
The latest race, Steers took the first three places.
The sanctioning authoring refused to distinguish the obvious biological differences of Cows and Steers.
Numerous Cows expressed intent to not participate in this year's upcoming event.
