It's 9am PST. Do You Watch The NFL Pregame Shows?

Posted on 11/10/2019 9:08:03 AM PST by DIRTYSECRET

I'm choosing not to. Too many "How does it FEEL" questions by the female reporters. Too many 'analysts' giving their 'expert' opinions on a game that involves just blocking and tackling. Then there's the players half our age giving THEIR opinions. Don't know about you but there's nothing I want to hear from these people. Yet the networks dump it on us. You folks know it's more than just the Kapernicks out there. Do they really have to interview the coaches as the half just ended?

I left the high school gossip and drama scene long ago. Just play the game already. Such nonsense, but I suppose it helps sell beer.

Since I do not watch the games, I do not watch the pre-game stuff.

I quit watching the NFL when they did nothing about Crapperdick, four seasons ago.

What does “NFL” stand for?

National Forensic League. High School Debates are organized under its auspices. I prefer parliamentary format myself. It also embraces Common Core, a big mistake.

Seems to me the NFL has figured out that having a bunch of slave ancestors get on their knees in front of thousands of other people standing on their feet was really giving off the wrong vibe.

You tube has The CBS NFL TODAY pre-game show from the mid 70s, if you want to see a real contrast between eras. It was made for adults. Today, the pregame shows are made for college bois and morons whose cultural frame of reference are rap music and video games.

I only saw the later part of the show. Thought it was good.

Maybe it will be on YouTube or something.

I never pay attention to the talking heads and know-nothing reporterettes of sport reporting.. For the most part they have nothing to offer but idiot questions, platitudes and common knowledge, and a few stat tidbits that Google coughs up for them.

Even during the game, they get it wrong as often as not; and only exist to sell ads and fill air time that would otherwise be pretty silent. As you know, dead air on TV is death to marketers.

So no don’t bother to waste your time on pregame blather. And pay no mind to the washed up jockstraps offering “color” commentary. I about retched yesterday when I saw pathetic failure Brady Quinn standing there with his hands in his pockets like some kind of expert.

I do not watch any professional sports because the people who own those organizations hate people like me and use their money to get government to hurt people like me.
