In the early 20th century, sailors near Alaska reported seeing black bubbles seeming to boil out from the sea, each one the size of the dome of the capitol building in Washington, D.C. They weren't the only sailors who reported the bizarre phenomenon, and they weren't mistaken, except for one thing the bubbles were much larger.
When the mostly underwater Bogoslof volcano in the Aleutian Islands erupts, it produces giant bubbles that can reach up to 1,444 feet (440 meters) across, according to a new study. These bubbles are filled with volcanic gas, so when they burst they create volcanic clouds tens of thousands of feet in the sky, said lead author John Lyons, a research geophysicist at the Alaska Volcano Observatory of the U.S. Geological Survey.
These volcanic clouds were captured in satellite images taken after the Bogoslof volcano last erupted in 2017 but the bubbles themselves were never photographed

Maybe catastrophic?
I once read a theory that this was what was taking place in the Bermuda Triangle.
I know one thing, I sure wouldn’t want one to come up under my boat or ship. Water vessels can’t maintain buoyancy in a gas...
Meanwhile, the Left thinks gas from cows is dangerous.
Had some chili last night..........................
I would think a boat that is caught within the perimeter of one of those bubbles would sink due to the change in density.
Lots of gasses dissolving in the ocean changing the composition of sea water.
That had to smell good.
As I heard it, a Ship sailing over an area like that would lose Buoyancy and sink.
Happens at every demonrat gathering...
How many cow farts does it take to equal a gas bubble 1/4 mile long?
Erupting volcanoes are the earth farting. We just have to get the left to rail against them like the cows.
Hate to be on a ship in the middle of a bubble like that.
Mother earth trying her hardest to commit suicide.
As I heard it, a Ship sailing over an area like that would lose Buoyancy and sink.
I wonder how you measure gas bubbles.
I suggest BE units or Burrito Equivalent.
It’s gonna end up being a lotta burritos.
Of equal or greater concern are the undersea methane hydrate beds (ice methane) in the region and around the world. These ice beds start to bulge before blowing up, releasing a vast amount of methane into the atmosphere, that any spark will ignite.
Maybe it’s Rover?
