Trump Minneapolis Rally. How soon should I arrive?

Posted on 10/07/2019 2:41:05 PM PDT by MNDude

As many of you know, POTUS is holding a rallying at Minneapolis Target Center (22,000 capacity)this Thursday at 7 PM.

Based on experience, does anyone have advice how early I should go to make sure I can get inside?

I would say six hours before the official start of the rally. Any later and you risk being among the “thousands outside who can’t get in.” Although I hear that can be a lot of fun as well.

I attended the rally in New Hampshire in August. I arrived about 5 hours before the doors opened (about 7 hours before scheduled start) and I was a half mile from the entrance...I was one of the last one admitted.Thousands were denied entry.

Arrive many hours early...6,maybe more.

Gates probably open at 4. That’s what it says on my tickets for Dallas.

It's kinda too late - but if you are active in your local Republican group and you've been attending meetings, you can ask to be a "Volunteer" at these Rallies, a few weeks out from the event.

They ask you arrive in the morning, and you help out: hand out VIP tags, collect names, addresses and emails from folks in line for the Trump folks, hand out water bottles, etc.

I did that at Trump's NH rally this summer. I arrived at 11 am, and worked volunteering until about 5 pm. Then as a "thanks" from the Rally organizers, I got to walk right into the VIP entrance with the other 40 Rally volunteers, at 6 pm!

For the Phoenix rally (third of my three rallies) I was in line 6 1/2 hours and got a middle order standing location. I could have got a better location (further up front) had I not wandered around after being let in. Once you are in and if you are lucky to find a good location near the front — just stand there ! Don’t move. Mind you, there are no seats. So if you step away it will be very difficult to come back in.

I’d bet people don’t drink much water while waiting.

“I’d bet people don’t drink much water while waiting.”

Quite the opposite. In the Phoenix heat you would pass out if you don’t stay hydrated ! But the good thing is you don’t feel the need to use a restroom regardless of how much you drink (within reason).

Gotta love the Minneapolis police. After the liberal mayor and police chief declared that police cannot be seen at the rally in uniform (they could for Democrat politicians) the police union now have red t-shirts that read “Cops For Trump” which they will wear.
