Some Burger King customers may have been getting an unwanted side of identity theft.
A woman claims that she witnessed one of the fast-food chain

A reminder to the rest of us to return the favor...............
it may say many of us some grief.
Not sure why that was dropped.
got the new Apple card.
it has no number on it.
using that wherever i can.
Cold, hard Cash...
It’s not just for breakfast anymore....
That may be true, but my point is that we need to take the time to correct on little things, because they are important.
“...we need to take the time to correct on little things...”
No argument at all there, friend.
Heck, beware anywhere- had our number stolen at home depot- got all these charges on it- fortunately the person was caught- but what a mess it was for awhile-
Always, always, Always check your statements-
And I know it cost a it of money- but IF you need to make purchases online at a place that isn’t exactly mainstream like big box stores- use a gift card- load one up so you don’t have to keep purchasing gift cards for these type purchases- (each card cost an extra $4 or so)- and just use it for those obscurer store purchases- or ebay- or craig’s list etc- just an added protection-
But I’m not sure what kind of protection they have for lost or stolen card- but worth looking into-
Last time I had a credit card number stolen I found out that everyone at my restaurant table had the same thing happen.
Yes sir. Whenever and wherever possible.
It happens a lot here, because we live in a touristy area and transients work in restaurants.
Certain restaurants here are a no-go for locals...............
I get an instant email whenever my card is used. Same for every bank transaction.
Only once have I ever had my number stolen...
and it was either at the new(and now closed) Chinese restaurant or the liquor store. I never found out which.
I was alerted by the credit card company. They wanted to know if I was buying sh!t online from California.
I told them NO.
Yeah I like my Apple Card. Ive been using it instead of others for this reason.
I had a Wendys guy walk off my phone for 20 seconds last night when I bought burgers for my kids and more importantly Rottweilers
Made me suspiciois
He was a flambeau
Just received an AmEx statement for my dad. Showed a small charge to Amazon in August. Problem is he’s been deceased for 2-years and the card was cancelled at that time. And...all his Sky Miles are gone too.
Burger King serves fake hamburgers too. My wife hates the place so we never go there.
Just Damn. People are so dishonest.
Good story and good thread. So many things to be aware of today.
“Cold, hard Cash...”
That is all I ever use in stores. Used a card in Lowes 3 years ago and ended up buying glasses in PA and a phone and wireless plan in AZ... never been to those states. Card took care of it.... but lesson learned. Then can photograph my dollar bills all then want to.
