A Tennessee man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly riding a horse while drunk, according to a report.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested John Arnold after receiving several reports on Tuesday night of an "intoxicated person on a horse," WTVC in Chattanooga, reported, citing an arrest affidavit.
A deputy allegedly saw Arnold riding the horse down the middle of a dark road and then falling off the horse.

Arnold was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
The horse was not hurt and was returned home safely, the television station reported, citing Arnold’s family members.

After he pleaded guilty to a DUI charge, he lost his driving privileges for a year starting in February 2019, the station added.

I think you misread it. He lost his driving privileges for a year, starting last February 2019. He apparently was riding the horse because his driver’s license was suspended.

He was also charged with assaulting the horse..
He said he asked the horse if he didn’t mind ‘doing it’ and the horse said ‘Neigh’ now YOU are claiming assault and horsey said he DIDN’T mind....
Looks like he plead guilty to it. Probably could’ve easily beat the charge.

In California you can be convicted of DUI for riding a horse or a bicycle while drunk.
Arrest him — and the horse he rode in on.
No he lost his license last feb, that is why he was on the horse.
