Wilson already won the SB the PREVIOUS year. He was the defending champ. Plus he’s a born-again Christian. Have a feeling he’s accepted that horrible play call by his coach.

Bert Jones to Roger Carr, deadly combination.

Luck finally got a solid O-Line last season, too... very painful loss for my Colts.

Vin Scully was an excellent football play-by-play guy, very underrated, called “The Catch”.

O.J. Simpson as a 49er.

Emmitt Smith as a Cardinal.

Bert Jones also had arguably one of the greatest seasons any QB ever had in 1976. When you crunch the numbers that take into account the different rules favoring defense of that era, and his stats vis-a-vis the other OBs of that year, what he did that year was pretty special. Snake Stables was pretty good too in 1976. Won his SB (but had a much better supporting cast).

HA!
Colt fans are already talking about tanking for Trevor Lawrence.
Well, “Suck for Luck” did kind of work out,.....for a while anyway.

His Pop was a reasl SOB here at WVU.
The way he treated Bill Stewart wouldda had him drinkin’ his meals through a straw for months had he pulled that crap in your or my old neighborhood.
Didn’t give two craps about the WVU fans and supporters in the state either.
The one good thing he and Holgerson did though, was to get me off WVU football and give me back my Saturday afternoons.

Exactly who I was thinking about. He had the Heisman, a fat contract, and was doing product endorsements all over DC before he even put on a helmet. Had a great rookie year and got the ‘Skins in the playoffs, then showed he was made of glass. One injury after another. Gets sent to Cleveland, and they couldn’t even wring half a seaason out of him. Now he’s an insurance policy polishing the bench in Baltimore for two years. I’m not sure trading an older, injury-prone Flacco for a younger, injury-prone RG III was a good move.

Good for him!

Football is going the way of boxing. Soon, only the desperately poor will sacrifice their brains for $$$.

When I grew up, the heavyweight champ was always the most famous athlete on Earth. Can you name the current champ? I can’t.

Going on my 27th year of abstaining from the NFL. College football more than satisfies me.

They threw because the last time they faced a similar situation in the game, they lost a yard running. Had they run and got the same result as earlier in the game, they would have been hearing, “Why didn’t they throw?”
