History FYI:

Today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11. The first mission to the moon.

Today, besides Apollo mission to’ the moon, it is also the 20th Anniversary of JFK Jr.’s death.
Odd to me his Dad wanted to go to moon.
Just thinking out loud.

First mission to land on the moon. Apollo 8 orbited the moon and Apollo 10 orbited the moon a bazillion times and was the dress rehearsal for Apollo 11 .

On this date, I was in Marine Corps boot camp at the rifle range.
The drill Instructor got us out of our racks at zero dark thirty and out on the blacktop to wave to & salute the “Men on the Moon”.
