Thank you, Mairdie. Happy D-Day to you. Regards.
Thanks, newrep. Watched Trump’s talk way early this morning, so started out the day with the proper mental alignment - awed by the courage of those who have served in our military, and profoundly grateful.
Thank you, mairdie! Great music too. I am in awe of sculptors.
Partly I do the closeups because I can’t BELIEVE they can get that detail into stone! And when the marble is smooth as glass, that awes me, too. The music was our final exam for Humanities I. Someone put a speaker out the window at the dorm and played it full volume just to torture us after all the times we’d had to listen. Nice to put away those two memories in one video.
WOW!!! I love how that project turned out! Loved the Mt. Rushmore at the last chord!
I’m so very pleased, Tex. I was afraid it would never see the light of day. Relieved, to say the least. Someday I have to do Rodin. To something French, of course. Went to the Rodin museum in Philadelphia long ago. They had a copy of the Gates of Hell. Amazing.
Thank you for this post! I’m wondering if you know whether anyone is producing this sort of beauty today? Are you?
I would love to see your work!
Sent links to mother’s art and mine in private msg. Mary
LOL! I’m so happy it DID make the light of day, and what a fun jewel! Thanks again!
Many years ago I enjoyed seeing a Rodin at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. It appears there is more than one now.

Great link. Many thanks. Love the Gates of Hell and the others. My favorite is Mignon, which isn’t mentioned. The Thinker was from the Gates.

I didn’t realize that.... I have not seen these particular Rodins.....yet!
This is the one I saw in Fort Worth many years ago... and apparently it is no longer there.
