In that era, a lot of catchers had to stand their ground when a runner came home. The best of catchers, like Johnny Bench, held onto the baseball no matter what. That’s when men were men and girls were girls. You get ejected for doing this now.

Another time Pete was Pete was when he got ejected for knocking the umpire flying. He truly acted outraged and stunned and had to be held back from further violence. What a violent, sack-of-shiite, over-rated loser!
