Lightning was originally suspected as the possible cause of the fire that severely damaged Lola on the Lake at Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis last Thursday, but now arson is the suspected cause.
Minneapolis Police Department issued a call for the public's help Monday to identity two people "in connection to the fire early Thursday morning" at the popular lakeside cafe.
Police say the duo, pictured below, were at the pavilion between 3-3:30 a.m. when the fire started. The photo at the top of the story appears to show them starting the fire.
"Anyone with information regarding the identity of these two individuals is asked to call the MPD Arson Investigation Tip Line at 612-673-3070," the release says. "Information leading to the identification of these individuals may qualify for a reward."
"We are simply devastated," the restaurant wrote on Facebook the morning of the fire, then a short time later added another post saying "thanks for the support. we will rebuild."
"The food wasn't that bad, there was no reason to burn us down," said owner Louis King on Tuesday, attempting to make light of the situation about an hour after learning arson was the cause.

The name of the lake is Lake Calhoun. It was given that other unpronounceable handle in a fit of typically Minnesotan “mee-too” political correctness.
For those who don’t know, Lola’s is near many $1M+ homes and clearly, these two don’t live anywhere near it.
The Hipsters that eat in the area are big BLM supporters and I suspect this will not change their minds.
