Impeachment is a political act, there doesn’t need to be a “reason”, as a practical matter.

They do need something to kind of hang their hat on, and repeat ad nauseam, over and over, as their talking points on the “news” programming to demagogue the issue. That’s why they call it programming. That’s what this is about.

Yet he was setup and taken down. He was actually kind of liberal in a lot of ways, but he was anti Communist, and the leftists certainly never forgave him for that.
