That's a tough leap to make and I want so bad to make it but I can't.

I still don't think the NYPD ever had the laptop(tho they may have an image of it now), but I can't prove it one way or the other.

I even got a reporter to re-review his story because he claimed the warrant was an NYPD warrant. It's a FED warrant and he modified his story after I showed him even tho his story was a couple of years old.

Interesting that NYPD turned down my FOIL(NY's version of an FOIA) request for any info re: that laptop, stating they couldn't give me any info on an active case.

The warrant was issued by the US District Court - SDNY on 09/26/2016 - To: Any authorized law enforcement officer. (No name or dept is listed on the warrant, however, that's cleared up in the IG report of 06/2018 - see further below).) (I am pretty sure NYPD wouldn't go to this court for a warrant to seize the laptop.)

Weiner turned over his I-Phone,I-Pad and Dell Laptop on 09/23/2016 to Granite Intelligence LLC (a security firm). and that is from where it was taken under the 09/26/2016 warrant.

The FBI’s New York Field Office (NYO) was in charge of the investigation. A federal search warrant was obtained on September 26, 2016, for Weiner’s iPhone, iPad, and laptop computer. The FBI obtained these devices the same day."
