Comcast WIFI, two smart TV's, and Three devices all worked perfectly until I got a new cell phone.

unplug the tv, push and hold the power button for 10-15 sec. wait a few min 2-5 plug back in and see if the bios cleared. if it did it will act like the first time you plugged it in. Otherwise google your tv and look for hard reset. If all else fails can you plug it into your home network with a ethernet cable, and use that to update the wifi? Lastly look up the firmware version on the TV and see if there is an update, usually you can update with a usbstick. If everything else fails turn off all the other wifi devices reset the password and security settings to the previous settings and see if the tv connects. I just had my computer lose its wifi adapter, not in the hard ware list. reboots did nothing. had to do a hard reset before the adapter could even be seen by the system. TV’s are just limited link computers.

“One TV refuses to obey “
Sounds like a precursor to Skynet.

Same here. The living room has four outlets, each bedroom two, the dining area one. Wi-Fi on top of that for Surfaces. It’s faster and more secure.

“I avoid these problems by running everything I can on ethernet. I have lots of ethernet. All over the place. Built the house pre-wired for it.”
This is the smartest comment I've seen on the internet in 2019. WiFi is a fools choice. Nothing beats the speed and reliability of a hard-line connection, where possible.
Wait until all the smart devices (IOT) really take off and then everyone complains that their download speeds and reliability are in the crapper. LOL.

OK
HOW do you wire a house for ethernet ?
Isn't that a fat cable that ends in a larger USB type plug ?
How do you do it after the house is built ?

How do you do it after the house is built ? It's an RJ-45 jack that looks like an oversized telephone plug.
It's easy for your first floor if you have access through the basement ceiling to the floor, or have a crawl space. But from the nature of your questions, I see you would be hiring somebody for the work. I added a few outlets after the house was built. It's easier than adding an electrical outlet.
My router and switch are in the basement. I turned wifi off on the router. I installed my own wireless access points upstairs, connected to the ethernet.

You're asking the wrong guy. Seriously.

Unplug each device and leave it unplugged at least a minute. Then see if it’s any better. They’re never really unpowered so long as they’re plugged in and unpowering is the surest way to clear all the registers.
