I’d have the heebie jeebies, too.

But consider that it’s highly likely that not all people who’ve ever gone there are compromised. As an analogy, I have given blood during a Red Cross blood drive. I now know that there is a lot of dirty secrets regarding the RC, but that doesn’t mean that I’m a part of it. I know at least one person who volunteers to work for the RC and she is definitely not involved in any shady business.

So, while I’d be careful and warn my daughter about things we know, I’d try not to freak out without cause.

I expect that a lot of “potential members” get invited to BG to test the waters, and many don’t get a return invitation. I also expect that they may have events that are totally above-board and invite random people specifically so that those random people can tell others that nothing weird took place.

Just as a bank robber doesn’t rob a bank every day and doesn’t rob every bank he passes, similarly these evil types also probably do a lot of mundane things.

Totally agree. Good post. I wondered about Maya in that same context. Creepy connections, yes, and Kamala has trouble coming if those connections lead somewhere I don’t even want to know about.
