I had the most eye-opening conversation last night with a guy I’ve known for decades. He’s very, very liberal, but he’s a Washington & Lee graduate.
He’s outraged over the Millennial obsession to do away with historical statuary. He is very concerned that the powers that be are trying to rewrite history and that these founders and great military minds thought very differently from todays Americans.
This really drives home the conflict incorporated in our very sick society, even in a Trump-hating, life-long, liberal Democrat (who’s about 68 years old).
