I worked in a motorcycle shop for thirty years. Rudy came by with his Snap-on truck every Wednesday. We got all the calendars and pin-up posters and displayed them proudly. But women started showing up as customers and applying for jobs and before we knew it we had female employees and customers who were "Offended" and we had to take all the cheesecake down.
And that's how the electric starter ruined everything.

Let me share a story with you from a woman’s perspective.
Back in the mid-to-late 80s, my mother worked in the accounting department of a manufacturing plant. When the Chippendale’s calendars came out, I purchased one for her as a Christmas gag gift. She displayed that calendar in her office. Apparently, someone was offended and she got called in by the “big boss.” As a result, ALL “pin-up-type” calendars were forbidden. My mama, bless her heart in heaven, did NOT remove her calendar. She merely covered up the part with the picture.
And the automatic transmission. And suffrage.
