Years ago in High School, some football player friends of mine had the unfortunate experience of picking on a small kid at a pizza parlor. The little kid told them to back off, he didn't want to hurt them. They persisted, and each one was taken out with one or two punches from this Golden Glove boxer.
One of my best friends was a college wrestler. He told me that he hated to wrestle a lighter wrestler. He said they were so quick. Still the odds favor the heavier one.
When I was in high school we played another high school in football. We won fairly easily. After the game we stopped at a burger joint.
They had a little halfback who weighed maybe 135 lbs. He was already at the joint. For some reason he chose to pick a fight with Duffie. Probably the biggest meanest player on our team. He tried to hit Duffie and maybe did, I can’t remember. Duffie hit him once and knocked him cold.
What in the world was that guy thinking.
