Deemed "Rewrite the Rules," the company's latest ad campaign, released on January 7, celebrates the diversity of its bridal buyers. The 30-second made-for-TV clip alternates between wedding scenes, starting with the outdoor forest nuptials between an interracial couple. Next, a bride and groom exchange vows at the altar, joined by their young daughter. The clip then flashes to a lesbian newlywed couple dancing among guests at their receptionas one bride's father playfully interrupts to request his own turn. The montage concludes with a bohemian bride and groom, happily running barefoot along a beach.
The separate exchanges all individually pay modern nods to conventional wedding customs. The ad's voiceover reads, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. And, above all else, something you.

And a disproportionate number of interracial couples. The operational word is disproportionate...far greater than the actual percentage of interracial couple in America. Theyre clearly promoting what they have been directed to promote.

I am irked by the tv ads which try to incorporate Hispanics, Blacks, wimpy young White males, Orientals, and older White women in the same commercial. Just makin’ sure that all the bases are covered. But it’s so p.c. that it’s sickening. And the buffoons are always the white men.

On my 6pm local news (in Oklahoma), as well. Just today, there was a feel-good story about a couple who have made it their cause to adopt disabled children.
All thru the story, they referred to “Jennifer and her wife...” at least 5 times, maybe more. It actually sounded forced every time it was said...like they definitely wanted us to notice.

Last time I got sick at bridal stuff was when they began to include engaged gay guys in the bridal section of my home town newspaper.
