R from Kansas is resigning. Kansas has a dim gov. Do the math.

Romney is a sure vote for impeachment and against anything Trump wants.

So, 51/49

While the allegations have a familiar ring, the details in the 37-page complaint hint that it could be the tip of the iceberg for Burke. According to the complaint, the FBI had won a judge’s approval to wiretap Burke’s cellphone and was already recording his calls before the alleged shakedown at the center of the charge began to unfold in May 2017. It’s unknown what other evidence federal prosecutors presented in the application for the wiretap because that filing remains under seal.

And if you mention the word "extortion" again, I'll have your legs broken ...

I most definitely agree with you that the above is an interesting turn of phrase. But, while I like it — and similar colorful expressions that he uses — this writer needs to familiarize himself with some basic composition standards. The “it’s” that appears right before the aforementioned phrase is one example of his errors.

So, with Romney, this makes the senate 51/49 again.

Yes, but the DEM will not be sworn in till Jan 14 - Current Pubbie could hurry up and name someone. The guy resigning has 2 years left, best I could calculate.

The Republicans have 53 seats.
*************************************************************************
Only if you count Romney. If this guy is resigning now, that’s down to 51 excluding Romney. Unless the current Gov of Kansas appoints a replacement before the DEM Gov. is sworn in on Jan 14.

Of course, maybe he just means he is not going to run again.

ugh. Romney stinks.

It never hurts to have extra necessities/foodstuffs on hand. Beats going to the store all the time. Saves money too.

He’s not resigning. He won’t seek reelection in 2020, when he’ll be 84 years old.
