When we learned of Darth Plagueis, also known as "The Wise," in Revenge of the Sith, his apprentice Palpatine (Darth Sidious) told Anakin that his mentor could manipulate the midichlorians (the life force of the universe) to control life and death itself. This is what lured Anakin to the Dark Side, as such a talent could allow someone to heal and even resurrect people. Since then, the going speculation has been that Plagueis used the Force to manipulate midichlorians and impregnate Shmi years later, creating the Chosen One -- not to be a savior, but a destroyer. As Vader goes through a portal into the afterlife on Mustafar, he meets ghosts of old, reliving the past, present and future. He walks through life as a young Anakin again, and then journeys through meaningful and life-altering experiences as the Jedi who fell from grace. In revisiting his early days, though, he sees Shmi, and the person who's manipulating her pregnancy is Palpatine, all with a sinister smile on his face...

He walks through life as a young Anakin again, and then journeys through meaningful and life-altering experiences as the Jedi who fell from grace. In revisiting his early days, though, he sees Shmi, and the person who’s manipulating her pregnancy is Palpatine, all with a sinister smile on his face.
Vader meets the specters of Palpatine and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the afterlife. Before Palpatine uses Force lightning to destroy Obi-Wan, a voice whispers to Vader, “I am your father,” as he looks at both men. We know Obi-Wan’s not the dad, but deep down, Vader recognizes he’s been more of a father figure to him than the villain who helped create him. It’s no coincidence they’re juxtaposed, standing next to each other, finally answering the question fans have asked for nearly two decades. He may not have been his physical dad, but Palpatine doctored events so Anakin would rise up as Vader...

I wonder what kind of brown-haired, British-accented feminist heroine will see THIS time..?

Gosh I wonder if she’ll be super good at martial arts, right..?

There was an interesting video on YouTube if you are a fan. None of the original actors but it was well done. Run for 17 minutes.

I AGREE Bob.

Here’s hoping that Disney with Marvel Studios turns this series into an animated motion picture franchise, before doing the live action version.

Proof that they can do a decent job without a huge production.

I helped on a small indie film once, a no pay thing for a friend and I enjoyed it.

It was set in a small diner.

Technology has definitely leveled the playing field in terms of production values.

The most I can offer is my 30 mm macro has finally been unboxed and I’m going to test it in a few before I have to trudge out and buy gift cards to stuff stockings and shut people up.

All I want for Christmas sometimes is to be like it was, enjoyable, low stress, not being short tripped to death to every little event, having to listen to every Christmas songs over and over, and everything commercialized to the nth degree.

When you run out of things to give to people and buy them things anyway, that is when Christmas has become too commercialized. We have reached that point.

I know only too well.

If it isn’t giftwrapped, it is perceived as some kind of insult. I think some people would be happy with lots of empty boxes to pile up.

I did a quick photo test with a small antique mechanical counter and pulled the card.

Looks clean and love the detail for a quick check.

It should do nice video

Quantity not quality. Hey, find yourself a recliner a glass of libation and watch the insanity unfold. Hopefully you will have had a nice dinner too.

Merry Christmas!
