I agree with you regarding Artichokes (and milk thistle.) These have been used for hundreds of years in Europe for liver problems. (I use Milk Thistle.)

What I want to know every time I see this, is whether the cilantro researchers tested the cilantro for heavy metal content before feeding it to the subjects? If not perhaps the heavy metal being excreted is from the cilantro.

Why this concern? My understanding is that in Mexico sludge is often used in farming as a fertilizer, and lot of heavy metal (metal plating, ect) is dumped in their sewage systems. If the cilantro was from a field in Mexico I would not trust the results.

If you find the research on this let me know! (Slide-off back to Q)
