I am trying to reconcile images of vanilla shakes and manure spreaders and its not working! Sooner or later someone needs to clean the barn or the “doo” gets so high the cows hit their heads on the roof. (A lot like DC.)

Just make certain its not raw before they dump it on your driveway. If it is and you accept it make certain you compost it for a year or so.

o start with I would of rated the trip 5 but I didn't catch the big one. That wasn't for Kerry's lack of trying its just happens that way on some days. Kerry put us on to a few great spots and the Spanish Mac were there but just got busted.

I spent 20 mins or so flexing my muscles against a true predator but couldn't get it off the bottom which was a bit of fun on light gear. In the end I came home with a 3kg coral trout that kept us feed for 2 meals. Its amazing what you can fit into your carry on.

The theory in fly fishing has been when it is dark, fish light, and when it is light, fish dark. This rings true both in lighting conditions and water quality conditions. The Black Out is here to help change that thought a bit.

Typically a darker pattern is more difficult for a fish to see in dark condition. This pattern uses UV thread, red wire, and a light tail to help counteract that. The end result is a dark silhouette fly with "hot” colors to attract the fish. This combination has been especially lethal when fishing in the Czech/euro style of nymphing.
