I served under Pres. Bush: I left the GOP to vote Dem. Trump is a fascist, a danger to our republic

As we approach the midterm elections, the Nuremberg-like atmosphere of Donald Trump rallies plus his flagrant abuses of power terrify his critics. They raise the question: Is Donald Trump a fascist?

There are two matters of fact regarding Donald Trump that are irrefutable. The first is that he is not a conservative but is, in fact, the direct adversary of all the core beliefs of Ronald Reagan. The second is that in terms of his politics, that is to say, his methods of obtaining and maintaining power, Trump has been a practitioner of both fascistic strategy and tactics.

Ronald Reagan was a follower of Edmund Burke, who deemed the preservation and respect for institutions as essential for the preservation of orderly democratic government. Trump, the anti-Ronald Reagan is on a mission to destroy our leading institutions, including the independence of the FBI and the Justice Department and the very existence of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Reagan was a follower of Adam Smith, who believed in free markets and free trade. Donald Trump is a foe of free trade, an advocate of tariffs and a leader of trade wars.

Because Bush was such a wimp, couldn’t stand someone who stood up for America, her military and wouldn’t take cr@p from the MSMLSD bunch.

I wouldn't call Reagan's amnesty to illegals some great achievement of conservatism. We are still burdened by that decision and action. That has helped to destroy this country as much as any act of war.

The dysron misses the forest for the trees. Donald Trump did not set out to attack Federal institutions, such as the FBI. He responded to the corruption of same, after the Obama Administration appointed those who would misuse the institutions for Leftist objectives.

When one confuses form with substance, one displays the dangerous level of stupidity, which the writer exemplifies.

Secondly, the President's peeling back reams of Governmental regulations, hardly suggests even Mussolini's forms, much less his substance. Donald Trump is the direct opposite of a Fascist.

"Reagan levied tariffs, too."

And Adam Smith was not entirely opposed to them as well, recognizing that under certain circumstances and for set periods, tariffs may be necessary or at least useful in correcting gross imbalances.

There isn’t a Rats ass worth of difference between Bush, Obama, Mcshame, Clinton, Gore, Ryan and the rest of the Uniparty.

We had the wool pulled over our eyes for many years. I myself was a young and naive fool who worked 18 hour days unpaid for the Bush campaign in 2000. I’m ashamed of myself for the support and succour I gave a man who is nothing less than a Marxist

So many incorrect things. How can anybody look at the last two years of investigations and claim with a straight face that Trump is “politicizing the FBI”? That was Obama, Trump hasn’t done one thing that anybody can point to that makes the FBI look at all political. He’s fired the people who clearly made it political.

And none of these people have a clue about historical Germany, or what “Fascist” is, because that’s mostly the left. They demonize their opponents, make entire classes of people “less than human”, link innocent, normal people to a few extremists in order to turn a mob against them.

THis is exactly what Germany did to jews. Found a few criminals, smeared the entire group, made the populace fear them, dehumanized them, and once that was done, they were not real people, and so it was OK to punch a Jew, or to sit idly by while they were murdered.

"I served under President Bush . . . . . "

Sounds about right. Is it any wonder that conservatives were continually frustrated by the Bush Administration's complete lack of enthusiasm for doing anything remotely conservative other than appoint judges (and even that is a mixed record)? The administration was filled with placeholders and moderates like this guy who define themselves not by what Republican policies that they are for, but what conservative policies and politicians they are against. But it should be no surprise. The Bush I administration was filled with the old Rockefeller Republican guard whose main goal was to trash the Reagan Administration.

Sure, great overlap.

But fascism can exists outside of socialism/communism.

Japan, for example, was extremely fascist.

But it was really more of a (at least figure head) monarchy than a socialist state.

All-for-the-Emperor-god and nation kind of thing.

The major strategic practice of fascism is the credo of "us and them." With Trump, the "us" is white America, and the "them" is every nonwhite group, most notably African-Americans and Hispanic groupings.

Mr. Nevertrumper ignores the fact that to this day Blacks and Hispanics hate Reagan as much as Trump, if not more.

Mr. Nevertrumper also speaks glowingly of Mika's antisemitic Daddy.

Why bother to waste one’s time and energy on a mainstream “news” paper. The Washington Post is a neo-fascistic pulp rag tabloid trash heap. It is an utterly disgusting piece of used toilet paper, a flat-out lie sheet.
