Everybody ordered their coffee regular, which meant with cream and sugar. So, I went along with the flow. That and a buttered roll got us through the morning.Any chance these events took place in New Jersey?

"if you like bitter food, you should not make the assumption that youre bitter any more than you should make the assumption that youre sweet because you like candy." Then why all the yap about such a foolish subject..??

Strangely, I prefer my coffee black because it tastes better, not because it is bitter.
Like anyone else, I do have a sweet tooth.

"One day a guy told me that coffee was good for you - unless you added cream, which made the combination bad."
A co-worker drank his coffee black and was quite vocal about. I asked him if he ever eats steak. He responded that he did. I then asked him if he puts anything on it: salt, pepper, steak sauce... He glared at me and walked away.

I like my coffee “regular”
That is, with cream and sugar.
I also like espresso. Worked at a place in FL that was 80% Hispanics and they turned me on to that stuff.
Always wondered what the deal was with tiny cups of turbo coffee. Then I got to thinking; not much good water in some places. Only takes a little water to make espresso and the super low ph levels aka high acidity probably kills off the bad stuff and kills off the bad water taste.
Never did get an espresso machine but I did get a mocha pot so every now in then I make Italian espresso.

These people make the best motorcycles in the world but they know zilch about coffee. I don't see Ducati mentioned in the article, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. But a good cup of cappuccino with a little tiramisu after some bolognese is almost as beautiful and satisfying as a spirited ride up a twisty mountain road on a SuperSport.

I drink it black. If it’s good coffee it’s not bitter. If I added cream and sugar to the 5 or 6 cups I drink a day I’d put on pounds galore.
