I cannot begin to tell you of my distaste for destination weddings.

My son had one in Cancun. They did it for many reasons, mostly because she comes from a HUGE extended family and the cost of a traditional wedding would have been exorbitant.

The cost for three of us was about $3600 for a five day vacation, including air fare.

Only immediate family and 4 close friends were invited.

It was beautiful and saved the families thousands of dollar.
