A Mississippi grandmother was arrested Tuesday after officials found a baby girl stabbed, placed into a hot oven on Monday night.
Carolyn Jones, 48, is charged with first-degree murder for the death of her granddaughter in Shaw, Miss., Bolivar County Sheriff Kelvin Williams confirmed to NBC News on Tuesday.
The infant, 20-month-old Royalty Marie Floyd, was found by a relative who then contacted the Shaw Police Department. Upon arriving at the scene, the police contacted the Bolivar County Sheriff's Office for assistance.
Royalty had been living with Jones at the time of her death the sheriff's office said in a press release. It was unclear where the girl's parents were.
Jones had a court appearance Tuesday evening and was given a $500,000 bond.

How on earth can they set bail for this woman?
Only reason I can is I’ve read all the crap the abortion doctors do. Once you’ve read Gosnell, Karpen, Tiller, Carhart, and others stuff this..people like these are just wanna bes. This is bad but imagine it on a daily or hourly basis and that is abortion.

At least the mother in Columbia, Tennessee who shot and killed her four children yesterday did us the favor of killing herself.

Women love to have that legal murder power. They want infaticide to be legal, age is just an arbitrary number.
Where are the parents of the baby?
Why was the baby left with the murderer?
Does the murderer have any other children/grandchildren living with her?
Does the grandmother have a job, or is she on welfare?
So many questions and no answers.
I’m not religious but spiritually friendly with Christianity. This kind of news increasingly made me feel more long for Jesus Christ

If you’re not “religious” then you are well on your way to knowing Christ. The Saducees and Pharisees were “religious”, believing that following the law is what made them acceptable to God. Christ said that His Finished Work for them is what made them acceptable to God. “Religion” all about what YOU can DO for God. Christianity is about what GOD did for YOU.
Bail should be set at 9 FRESH pints of her own blood.
