She has osteoporosis. That is her neck, bent over. She is an old, hunched backed woman.
It’s a bad camera angle.
Everyone can calm down, it’s not some cancerous growth. She will be here for a while.

I'm just shocked her eyes are open. What is this old old lady still doing there. She's not qualified to be there at at age. She kept falling asleep during an interview I watched on you tube. Seriously, I would like some FReeper dick to explain a few possible things that could cause that.
BTW, I don’t wish her badly. But maybe she should retire and spend her remaining time with her family. It is pretty clear that she hasn’t got more than a year or two left.

With the closeup, it appears to be a upper back/neck muscle tensed to hold her head up. She has the posture of a woman with back problems.
I do not wish her ill, but I would love for her to decide she is ready to finally read “War and Peace” is retirement.

The post-auricular mass is abnormal. Could be a lymph node, perhaps posterior cervical?
The anterior neck may be simply redundant tissue, as often happens in old age. I would not expect her to have a goiter.

She had a vacant demeanor. Trump mentioned her name - no acknowledgement. She didn’t seem focussed on what was going on - her gaze kept wandering around. Clarence Thomas had to help her stand up and supported her while she stood.
Maybe her mind is sharp as a tack, but her physical appearance is frail.
