I think RR asked for the delay, too. This is an ideal way to get in a bunch of investigation time and also, MOST IMPORTANTLY, to get into evidence stuff they already know. I think RR is a WH (didn’t before this) and I think that this was a golden opportunity they couldn’t pass up to make the dirt come to light.
