My pleasure. Seconds on what PapaBear3625 said; brass and bronze were used in various moving parts in steam locomotives because ferrous parts would turn to irregularly ruined crap from oxidation. Instead, the soft parts had to be swapped out a lot, the metal recycled into new parts. The transition to diesel-electric locomotives led to a drop in jobs in the railhead in Denver (that's from the creaky floorboards part of the memory attic).
