I have also thought this: her story is a composite and is “believable” because she actually has been in these scenarios many times due to her own drunken skanky behavior and so sets the scene convincingly. However! I think she made up that Kavanaugh was there and word has gotten to her that he has an airtight alibi so she won’t testify.
This is very painful to see Grassley cave over and over again - yet if he knows this is the situation or a similar scenario, Grassley can be magnanimous to give cover to Flake, Collins, etc.
I know its awful but I am hoping for this.
