Her story is so flimsy, she has no evidence at all except some vague "recollections" during a psychobabble session decades later.
She probably knows she stuck her foot in her mouth when she agreed to be the democRATS "rape victim" in this Kavanaugh hearing.
Now she finds out they want her to actually "testify" in a public hearing and she's gotten cold feet.
She knows her story is just that...a story.
That is no doubt an important element in this charade, even more important than the almost certain fact there was no bedroom assault.
The other important fact is that Trump has declared Kavanaugh will be on the bench by the time the next session begins; and, Trump has most or all of the facts of this dispute
Grassley may appear a pushover to those of us out here on the sidewalk but then we are "watching sausage being made".
Given the cards it holds the left may well make the decision it is better served to fold at this point and prepare to defeat Amy Barrett.
Absolutely not! Grassley is letting them play their games while scheduling a vote on Kavanaugh for Monday. It’s plain that they’ve had a week and Blasey Ford isn’t serious about testifying. Democrats cannot seriously accuse Grassley of not trying. They’ve made fools of themselves and Grassley let them.

It’s Feinstein and the other Dem charlatans pushing this hoax who should step down, not Grassley. Grassley is bending over backwards to deny the Democrats a wedge issue to motivate aggrieved women to vote, and because the accuser looks crazier every day. It is my speculative hope that he wants the accuser on record, along with the Dems and anti-Trump R’s like Flake; then have real evidence come out that proves they are corrupt fools who screwed over an innocent man. Then call the vote.

Grassley has handled this about as well as anyone could. Come Monday when they vote and Kavanaugh is advanced to the full senate you can sit back and be quiet

My reaction was pretty much like others here until I considered that it is very possible, perhaps even likely, that one or more of the weak-kneed R’s on the Judiciary Committee - or in the broader Senate - told him that they would lose his/her vote on Kavanaugh if he did not extend again...
If that is the case, then he did the right thing... but otherwise, I’m with others here...
I don’t think it’s going to last much longer. In the information and digital age we live in, it’s hard to keep stuff secret. You put stuff out there, someone, with enough time on their hands will find it. Just look at some of these speeches, etc that have been dug up on so many of these politicians. Hell, just look at some of the stuff they were able to dig up on soetero, long before he was dumped in our laps. At the, it won’t matter much to one side and be the end of the world to the other, but it is what it is.

Her puppet masters told her nothing would happen. Her “friend” who came out early to confirm the event, backtracked and said it was nothing but hearsay running through the halls of their school. She had “heard about it” at school. None of them thought there’d be even this much push back. Which, I think, you and I agree isn’t nearly enough. This should have been scuttled within a day or two. But, maybe Grassley or someone else has a friend or two at NSA, CIA, DIA that is digging into the internet universe to dig everything up. Who knows?

Senator Grassley is one of the most solidly based persons ever to survive living in the Swamp. He knows precisely what he is doing.
He lost control of the room on day 1 of the hearings. And he should have evicted all spectators to stop the screaming. But at the moment he has to prove that the GOP are not misogynists.
What matters is the confirmation vote. It would be fun to have Mike Lee chair the hearings for Ruth Ginsberg’s replacement.
