NEWS: Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) tells me in an intv he that doesn’t think the Judiciary Cmte should move ahead with its Thursday vote on Kavanaugh until they hear more from Christine Blasey Ford. “For me, we can’t vote until we hear more.”
She is prof at a third rate college in SF Bay ..

Trump can launch a nuclear counter strike against Flake’s nuclear strike by making a recess appointment of Kavanaugh. This would put Trump at some risk of retaliation by wishy-washy GOP women.
What's interesting is that a lot of Freepers don't trust Kavanaugh because he's been a GOP establishment stooge for years. Is this really the guy Flake wants to derail?
I suspect the Kavanaugh vote will not be delayed until after the election. If it can't be moved now, it will be pulled and Amy Comey Barrett will be fast-fracked onto the Supreme Court. That's probably the last thing the Democrats -- including Flake -- want.

I predict that she will testify and make a decent witness - like Anita Hill did. I think the guy named Judge ( the writer will stick to his story) and say it didn’t happen. It depends who else is called. Were there a party she, Kav and others attended, look for the testimony to be that she was also drunk.
Ultimately, unless there is some damning evidence in addition to her, he will get 50 votes and be confirmed.
We can just now just let the process play out, and hope for the best.
The fact (if it’s a fact) that she scrubbed her social media BEFORE going public is a big deal. What didn’t she want the public to see?

Offer Flake a damned embassador position to some place in Europe or South American if that’s what it takes. That may not be necessary if a small handful of Democrats vote for the nominee. A few are in states that Trump won by multiple digits. Then replace him.
