NEWS: Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) tells me in an intv he that doesn’t think the Judiciary Cmte should move ahead with its Thursday vote on Kavanaugh until they hear more from Christine Blasey Ford. “For me, we can’t vote until we hear more.”

No man, I'm the one who's been telling people to grow a spine.
However, the Judiciary Committee has to send this out of committee to get the vote. The Judiciary Committee is 10 Dems, 11 Repubs. With Flake switching sides (or actually, returning to his roots) we lose the discharge to the vote.

AZ might be safer for Flake to show his head than you’d suppose, given his political treachery.. There’s substantial doubt that Flake will be replaced by McSally, the nominated GOP candidate. She is polling a few points behind the Dem candidate, last I saw.
