I was watching the funeral procession on YT.
Anyone know what those tall vans were for?
I think there was a larger LEO presence when they moved his body from home to the mortuary than there was today with the procession from the Capitol to the church. Interesting.
Another question I have: When the pallbearers were moving the coffin out of the Capitol, one of them had a plastic sheet over his head. (like a wedding veil or something, very odd, fairly large) What was that all about? Did someone throw it at/on him while they were moving the body? He just kept marching, very professionally and militarily as if nothing were wrong. After the coffin was loaded into the hearse, one of the other pallbearers removed it from him in as dignified a manner as possible.
Kudos to our wonderful military.

Initial reports said Israel airstrike near Mazzeh military base near Damascus was repelled by Syria. Also some said munitions dump blown up (and pics show explosion), later Syria says explosion caused by electrical short.
