Thats one way to avoid the attention, at least until the President decides to start tweeting at ESPN about how unpatriotic they are because he knows it riles up the people he wants riledOh, please. Anytime a player doesnt stand for the anthem, the media rushes out a story on it as they know it will get attention.
To: Red Badger
Right, that ought to calm everyone down.
Except announcing it makes it clear that ESPN and the NFL seem to want to hide player reaction, regardless of their alleged history of not showing the playing of the National Anthem.
“What! You mean those. long haired, pinko, commie, liberal fags weren’t broadcasting the opening anthem?

If the rest of the networks would do the same, perhaps this will go away.

I am suggesting a facebook or twitter movement to sing the national anthem right before kickoff . If you can get someone to jump down a lead it. ESPN can go to hell. I do not go. I do not watch but patriotic Americans do.

Fine with me. Don't give the pampered attention whores any air time.
Other sports don't do it - they use the time for commercials or introducing the game.

The playing of the anthem was not shown for years and years. It takes the platform away from the America haters so in the end it’s not a bad thing.

I predicted this about a week after the whole fiasco began, because it is the xhickens#it way out.

It would seem that the NFL could take this a step further and simply not play the anthem in the stadium as well.
